I am posting this link for those who say they want to see pictures of his body.

After looking at these photos, only those with a truly morbid desire to see dead people would feel it necessary to see OBL's body.

Oddly, I didn't care about seeing OBL's body. I'm just a regular reader of the guardian.co.uk, and didn't realize the photos would be so graphic, even after reading the warning.

OUR press doesn't show this stuff, which means there is probably a fair share of the people demanding to see OBL's body that actually never saw one, people with a video game mentality regarding death unfortunately are rather common. For them death equals points scored, and they revel in the kill.

Death in real life is nothing pretty, and in this form is a horror.

My purpose was to let those who think like that see what is like, and in doing so help them understand why President Obama is right not to show the photos, and how their desire is nothing more than morbid curiosity.

As for you being offended. My headline is crystal clear. You didn't have to look. If you did, then I'm not to blame.

And no, not reports translated from blurry "wives". Photographic evidence to show the world that the US government has nothing to hide, that the body wasn't so mutilated that it had to be discarded, etc. Just some simple evidence. It's pretty common in assassinations to show the body as proof.

and even if "Most people" did, there would be probably as many "Most people" who would be analyzing the pics & telling how it was photo-shopped.

The pictures need to be AVAILABLE, and news media people should be able to VIEW them, as well as any legislator-types, but the general public (who will eventually see them anyway) can surely believe the daughter/wives of OBL, and the people who have seen the pics.

There are commercials, PSAs, and programs on Canadian and British TV that are shown in those nations with absolutely no controversy, that either are rejected for American TV for being graphic, or the few that are shown on American TV, the prudish American public complains like crazy. Americans talk a good game when it comes to freedom of speech and expression, but they always want their TV and media censored to their prudish, sheltered values, while other nations truly have the freedom of speech and expression that Americans think they have.

We're gonna take out the bad guys, bring 'em in dead or alive (hyuk, hyuk, did you see what I did there), and teach 'em a lesson. But when we send the killers out to do their thing, suddenly we want to think of the children (oh, won't someone please think of the children), and pretend that that's "not who we are." Really?
