Poll question: Koran burning and Osama corpse photos
This is to get a general idea of DUs position on things that may incite people. Feel free to explain why you hold your position, how they differ, or how they are similar.

1. Fascinated by the breakdown so far, thanks for your answers, all.
I will kick this one more time before sleeping. I know not many people have responded, but I tend to like late night polls for that reason.

2. Nothing is as inciting as blowing up kids in the God Damned wars!
Up to Obama, as far as the OBL photo, I say.

3. +1
I think he should release the photos to squash skeptics. If not here, then in the ME.

4. No question. Thanks all for participating.
The poll is focused due to the nature of both issues, both have similar arguments for and against. Completely agree that occupation is a far greater issue!

'night.

5. They are not even close to the same thing.
Should be interesting to see the result.

6. I may or may not agree with that.
I have seen similar arguments used for both. I tried to be succinct for impartiality (my polls tend to be weird like that). I may kick it again late today (after I get off work) with my opinion (depending on the mood, if people aren't still discussing the photos maybe not, I don't like polls that are intentionally controversial).

7. If they were similar, then showing bin Laden's corpse should
produce violence from American Muslims instead of celebration, right?

8. Apples/oranges
What a private individual is free to do vs. what the state may do. Some similarities in the consideration of potential consequences, but quite different stipulations in law and constitutional provisions that apply.

Just off the top of my head, the two are not directly comparable.
