More Big and Little Pixels (Simple Picture Shows Obama BC is Bogus
May 2, 2011 | ML/NJ

In this single picture below it is easy to see that the signatures on the document come from different sources. The resolution on the Dunham signature (above) is higher than the resolution of the Sinclair signature (below) which is composed entirely of "big" pixels. The latest Bamie Birth Certificate is an obvious fraud.

These guys just never give up.

Thank you. It’s glaringly obvious that this document is a fake. Obama knew he was going to announce about OBL - so he just threw this out to “put the birthers in their place”, and make the issue now seem petty compared to the Bin Laden story.

Scary times, what is he doing while everyone is talking about Osama Bin Laden?

1. Wat? It's not "higher resolution"...
Dunham's signature doesn't look as "blocky" because it's much thicker.

These people are idiots.

2. Not that I support their conclusion
But the questionable thing between those two images is that one is aliased, and the other is not.

The 'ink' in the top image is pure black, right to the edge of the signature line. All of it's pixels are black. The creates the blocky look.

The signature 'ink' in bottom image includes shades of gray, darker in the center of the line, fading to white at the edges. That is aliasing, and causes the lines to look smoother when viewed from a distance. It's an optical effect used a lot in digital typefaces and graphics.

Those two different effects on a document from the 60's would raise questions. However, given the source of the complaint, I don't give them any credence. You could send some of those people back in a time machine, and they'd still object because the time machine was based on research from an evil, liberally biased higher education university or college.

7. Actually it's anti-aliasing and it is a product of the scanning/sampling process
Edited on Mon May-02-11 10:12 AM by Azathoth
Most spatial sampling techniques employ some kind of anti-aliasing filter since the source resolution is always far higher than the sample resolution. I just looked at the original pdf, and both signatures are anti-aliased except for the last part of Dunham's. When you look at the rest of the document you can see why -- the sampling algorithm is apparently adaptive. The heavier and more uniform the text, the less anti-aliasing applied to the resulting sample. Thus, most of the printed words are heavily aliased (blocky), while the thin lines of the form and the pen strokes of the signatures are strongly anti-aliased.

not the original document. It is still a computer generated document. Hawaii digitized all of their originals.

Oh yes, the perfect time for Obama to implement his Communist/NAZI take-over.

Also freeper, it is time for mandatory circumcision and same sex marriage.

The trucks are leaving DC to collect your fishing rods as well.

To: ml/nj

What, if anything, do we know about the state official who certified this document?

Whatever the facts are, I think that absent a bombshell (and the pixelation issue might be one) it will be hard to get a lot of people to focus on this any more.

I could be wrong!

13. Never mind the fucking pixels...
If I signed three different things on three different days, it's possible my entire signature would look different to someone who wanted to prove it's not my own.

They just never stop, do they?

When one examines the signatures on the Obama abstract, why is it that instead of the 1961 era black ink business pen in a thin crisp signature, that instead the signatures are velvet smooth and wide like a felt tip pen of a much later date...

Now THAT'S interesting. Seems like the forgers(s) left another clue.

In the early 60s I am sure a lot of people still used fountain pens for official documents and that is what these look like to me.

15. Conspiracy nuts are loathe to give up their fantasies
Any evidence countering their pet theory is immediately absorbed as part of the cover-up.

I've tried over the years with UFO'ers, fake moon landing believers, 9/11 truthers, and now we'll have the birthers and OBL deathers.

They all live in a fantasy land where they are the only ones who can "see through the lies". It's an ego boost for them, so giving it up in the face of evidence would require actual thought.
