A while back, new and clarified rules were presented to elevate civility. I think it helped for a bit. In regard to one of the better ideas from then, when (if ever) is the lockout rule going to go live? The rule that would bar posters from a thread once they had a post deleted. I think it would go a long way in elevating civility. Thanks for any updates.
While I have your ear. I wonder how long member can regularly abuse the rules, engage in personal attacks and question the motives of other posters with impunity. Alerting works to get offensive posts deleted but posters are free to come right back into the thread and in other threads on DU and re-offend. As far as I can tell there are only a handful of posters who routinely and regularly engage in personal attacks and disruption. But, there behavior elicits responses and the civility degrades. Thank you for your response.
