The anti-Obama tone here and Unrec'ing

In your interview it was mentioned DU tended to be more anti-Obama than DKos. I believe the Unrec feature is partially responsible.

Minority opinion, in this case pro-Obama, is often underexposed by being "Unrec'd" off the greatest page. DUers, who often use the greatest page as the prism to view DU, miss exposure to pro-Obama information and opinion. They are fed a steady diet of anti-Obama information. Their opinion hardens. They become more inclined to unrec pro-Obama articles. It's a snowball effect.

This is true of any minority opinion here. I suggest discontinuing unrec's and perhaps raise the threshold to 7 or 10 recs for the greatest page.
