Feeding America Fundraiser

I see someone else asked if you are going to do a fundraiser for the holidays, and Skinner replied that you've done Feeding America the last few years and probably will do the same.

I'd like to work together with DU for this fundraiser via the I Choose Campaign (which I'm STILL working on ...remember, it's in response to Glenn Beck dissing Wishadoo and I received permission to post about it).

If I sell merchandise for I Choose (based on the graphic below, with variations), I was wondering if -- for DUers who purchase -- a portion of proceeds can go toward DU's fundraising efforts, and I was going to suggest Feeding America. I'd take care of the specifics, but it would be a joint fundraising effort ~ focusing on your fundraising toolbar (whatever you call that thing at the top of the page when you're fundraising) rather than a separate effort ~ and maybe other entrepreneurs here would do the same.

And I'd announce it with the post announcing the I Choose Campaign.

One doesn't make much through CafePress but perhaps something like for every $10 of I Choose merchandise sold, $1 will go to DU's fundraising effort for Feed America.

1. If you would like to help out our donation drive in this way, I think that would be great.

Of course, DU would still be soliciting donations from our members to go directly to Feeding America.

2. Yes, you'd have the direct donation drive...

and mine and any other DUer who wants to do the same would be secondary, supporting your drive for a more consolidated effort.
