Her Performance "Was Not Up To Par"
Isn't that just how it goes in these cases...the poor gal wasn't very good at her job, according to... her harasser.

If the harasser is the boss or in another position of power, he get's to keep his job, she has to move on.

2. More accurate quotation marks: Her "performance" wasn't up to par, according to him.
She refused to perform.

Still, I have this distinct suspicion it's not going to hurt him that much with the Reps unless there's evidence.

3. It won't hurt him even with the Reps even if there IS evidence
I refer you to the history of Clarence Thomas.

For all their talk of morality and values, when the rubber hits the road, they just don't care about that.

4. Depends on how embarrassing the evidence is.
If he's caught on tape doing something egregious, I think all the roaches will scuttle back under the sink and forget about him.

7. on FAUX yesterday

CAIN: I don't recall, Greta. I really don't. I do recall that her performance, it had been told to me by her boss, was not up to par. And I normally didn't get into whether someone is let go or fired unless I had to because I allow my department head to make that decision. Her boss, if he didn't think she was doing the job, I said, Well, you, along with the human resources department, figure out what you want to do, but do it the right way because there are procedures for letting people go if their performance is not up to par.
