2. Folks need to STOP putting the blame on Obama, and BLAME THE GOP for GITMO still being open!

1) It is The CONGRESS that is blocking the GITMO closure, not Obama.

Congress voted to defund 'any and all' moving of the detainees.
Congress voted to defund the federal prison to where Obama wanted to move the detainees.
Congress voted to make it illegal for Obama to move the detainees onto American soil.

Put the blame on CONGRESS were it belongs.

Call the REPUBLICANS in CONGRESS and tell THEM to CLOSE GITMO.

5. Me too. I'm beginning to believe a LOT of Americans still don't know how our gov't works

and it's easier to blame the President than it is one's own congresscritter.

But it's not only the GOP that fought hard to thwart closing Gitmo. Spineless Dems in Congress happily voted along creating a veto-proof smackdown, and our corporate media barely reported on it except to mention Congress had defeated one of the President's campaign promises while promoting fear that we couldn't have turrists inside our borders. I guess they didn't trust our prisons, aye?
