I think it will be: Mitch Daniels

I wish it were: Sarah Palin (for the laugh factor, she would never win).

3. I don't think we have seen that person yet. My guess is it will be one of the
young upstarts - Rubio, Christy, or maybe an even more obscure politician.

4. Michelle Bachmann
I confess I'm hoping that the Senile Elephant Party gives Michelle Bachmann the nod. Sarah Palin has had her day, it's time to root for another right-wing crazy. I believe that Bachmann is so far off to the right, she'd frighten enough Republican-leaning moderate voters into heading to the polls to re-elect President Obama. Moreover, I think Bachmann would have a reverse-coattails (boat anchor) effect. Instead of lifting numerous Republican candidates to electoral victory, she'd drag a lot of them to flaming defeat.

Which would be to the good, IMO.

5. Think: Mitt. Wish: Kermit the Frog.
Well, actually, maybe not the frog -- that would likely be less ludicrous than whoever it turns out to be.

6. I THINK it will be Romney
I THOUGHT it might have been Huckabee - can we trust him at his word that he won't run?

I HOPE it will be Newt - that would be too much fun. SO much baggage....

I don't WANT it to be Palin (or Bachmann - *snort*) - neither she, nor the GOP, deserve the right to claim the title of 1st major party nomination of a woman to the office of POTUS.

It would put troops on the ground for a win in 2016.

Mark my words.:scared:

They're such wannabes that I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route.

I WISH it could have been Trump, Palin, Paul, Bachmann and Jindal :(

12. Jeb/Newt
If they are the GOP ticket, Obama will still win, but it'll be close.

At least that's my prediction.

15. I think it will be Newt.
I don't "wish" it would be any of them. It doesn't matter.

So far, Newt has been getting the least negative amount of comments on the RW sites. They're all excited about Cain, but he won't run. Neither will Bachmann, Palin, or any others. Newt has already conceded by saying if elections were fair, he could be Pres. Obama so we can just start celebrating now.

19. I think Pawlenty. I believe Daniels will not run because of his wife.
There have to be a lot of details about the divorce and reconciliation that would not play well on the national stage. They would have to be addressed at some point. I don't think he will do it.
