It is just not going to happen.

President Obama, has accomplished more than I ever thought possible.. especially in a 2 year period.. so much that people cannot keep track of it.

Things that are near and dear to my heart.

Green energy investments unbridled.

Putting money back into Food Safety inspections.

Setting standards for Credit Card providers.

Investments in Higher Education and in the sciences.

Lily Ledbetter

Jobs.. we went from losing 750,000 a month to adding 200,000 plus.. (that is a million job turnaround on a monthly basis)

He saved the country's car industry, that impacts on more than 10% of all the jobs in this country (when you include suppliers, deals, repair shops etc)

Ending DADT

He got Bin Laden!

That is but a few of the things he and his team.. no one does anything alone.. have done to try and set this country back on the right track.

1. I'm not dogging you. I have a question about your math.
"Jobs.. we went from losing 750,000 a month to adding 200,000 plus.. (that is a million job turnaround on a monthly basis)"

Are you saying that in Month A, we lost 750,000 jobs, and in Month B, we added 200,000, but that really means we added 950,000 jobs and erased the losses of Month A? Is that how counting jobs works? I really don't think it does; I could be wrong.

2. The last three months of the Bush administration
Edited on Sat May-07-11 11:17 AM by Peacetrain
Bush's last three months. Between October and November, 597,000 jobs were lost; between November and December, 681,000 were lost; and between December and January, 741,000 were lost.

SOOOOOOOOOO... we added 240,000 private sector this month.

So if you have lost 740,000 jobs.. they are not there.. they are gone.. you are a negative 740,000

Now we have added over 200,000 plus in the last three months.. I am thinking we are getting to a million job turnaround.

the private sector has added well over a million jobs in the last year.

Edit to add.. I see where you are coming from, because I did put that in the op and I cannot edit it.. It does read a million a month, and I meant we were losing a million and now we are gaining a million.

I wrote that poorly. mea culpa

3. I'm proud of President Obama, too.
It's sad that you feel you might get dogged for saying that on a Democratic site.

4. Well there have been times..but Bud Day brought this response on.
Bud Day is our most decorated living soldier.. and he is so anti Obama..he told a newspaper that Panetta ordered the Seals to go after Bin Laden..not the President..He just cannot give him credit for anything.. he was also a terrible anti Kerry guy..just so caught up in his politics that it completely blinds him to any truth beyond his own hatred of all things Democratic

7. I am between planting the garden and listening to MSBNC
That link.. I had completely forgotten about that.. thank you.. this may have really done more damage to AQ than any of us realize or could have even hoped for.

I am so looking forward to the Afghan drawdowns like the Iraq drawdowns.. and as my husband says.. we can keep our military employed here watching our train system, port system etc.

I think we are seeing the end.. after 10 long years

10. Ditto! Ditto! (But some of the things you list...actually Congress did those)
But splitting hairs, I guess.

He also did MUCH more than you list. And that's a good thing!
