Jane Hamsher, Olbermann, Big Eddy .... the whole lot.

Maybe the GOP could give them some tips on how to beat Obama in a live, televised argument.

1. Maybe they can tell him the secret in getting the corporations they work for
to actually battle Republicans consistently on all network channels!

That would be great! A media that actually reports the news
instead of editorializing it selectively!
That would be neat!

7. If KO would have to actually argue on how to get something passed,
it might not be as easy for him.....
just like it wouldn't be easy for you....
cause the truth is that it ain't as easy as folks want to believe it is....
including someone that gets paid to talk.....
as opposed to someone paid to govern.

40. Yes - yelling at a camera that doesn't respond proves one is SO much better at discussion and debate
than the President is.

Good Lord, this is getting ridiculous, isn't it?

27. Ignoring your garbled insults, and the fact that we aren't talking about interviews,
why isn't KO "qualified to interview" Obama? You mean because he might ask a hard question and that'd displease you?

38. KO is also a
political commentator. As much as I disagree with last night's special comment, I do believe he has the qualifications to interview any politician he wants to.

Again, the president would win this kind of debate, but please do not think he is not qualified.

8. I imagine there are plenty of people on what you disparage as "the loud left"...

... who would accept that invitation in a heart beat. A heartbeat. And I think our nation as a whole would benefit enormously from such a debate.

So, maybe you intended your OP to be an STFU to critics on the left, but you've actually gotten to the heart of the matter: A genuine conversation with the left would do this President, and the rest of us down here on Main Street, a world of good.

12. Not a "STFU" at all....
... as "STFU-ing" gets us nowhere.

I'm saying these folks have some many ideas, Obama's the smartest man in the room ..... and it would be superfun to watch. And just MAYBE something might come of it.

Quit being so cynical love. ;)

10. Here's an idea:
how about if the President starts producing an attitude that it is part of his center-right Administration's policy to attempt compromise with the Left and less with the lunatic Right?

Then again, that's never been on the agenda, has it? And it never will be.

Obama will never meet with the Left because he knows that as soon as he does that, he has completely lost any possibility of delivering greater wealth to people LIKE HIM who are on the Right. (Granted, Obama's Right is not as far as DeMint, but claiming that Obama's even "centrist" requires a radical redefinition of the Center that most Democratic Righties don't want to admit.

It's OK to call the President "small", "weak" and "pathetic", but don't say anything less than flowery and wonderful about anyone on the Left, because that's unacceptable!

14. They'd want to, but the "smartest man in the room" wants the "Professional Left" seen/not heard.

That was pretty clear today in his comments. Anyway, can't wait for 2012 and the next set of excuses about why we need to cave again.

18. Not. Why would he put up with all the shit he gets from EVERYONE
instead of staying in a very comfortable private life? Michelle would just as soon have had him to herself and for his children.

His base hates him, that's evident on these threads.

to debate the best frigging President, all they want to do is undermine him! Blasted guy has no one, except us, to look out for him!

What they are doing to President Obama is mind boggling!

35. Maybe the GOP could give them some tips on how to beat Obama--didn't he just join their side
The GOP would be cheering for him, giving him talking points against the LOUD LEFT, rallying the Corp Media in an effort to snuff-out and marginalize voices from the left and doing Glenn Beck rallies in his honor--after all, who are the beneficiaries of the Obama tax cuts for the wealthy.

Trickle down, trickle down.

39. Hell, I've been challenging to a debate on his 'faith based'
anti-gay attitudes since McClurkin. Any day. A live feed, a KJV, him, me and 10 questions, 5 from each of us. I win. We rematch. I win again. The man has no case, no reason for his position against equality in basic human rights for minorities he personally does not like. He blames God for his own neurosis.
Of course, he would be a better opponent than his ardents, because he is not as much into name calling as McClurkin or his other 'supporters'.
Obama says that Newt Gingrich is 'sanctified by God' and Rachel Maddow is not worthy of rights equal to Newt's, she is inferior to Newt. Sure, I'd debate that nonsense any day. Any time. No prep needed. Bring him on.
