Corporations do not want to invest the trillions they are holding on to for new jobs? no problem...
Time to expand government hiring of inspectors that were gutted under Reagan and left us with such a shoddy program to oversee the foods we eat (eggs anyone?) meat inspectors .. inspectors of vehicles etc.

Private industry wants to rub our faces in it and withhold monies to hire new people because they want to keep their special tax cuts, by ousting the Democrats?..

Well time for the the government to hire and hire big. Not only products made in this country but those coming in.

Hire so many people that private corporations will have to ask for a hall pass for the executive bathrooms.

If they do not want to invest in the worker.. Uncle Sam can..

The decision is theirs and their minions in right side media.

I am a very easy person to get along with... :)

2. Ok. Then raise the corporation's taxes and close their loop holes to pay for all these people.
AND... their training. Putting all these people to work will get the economy moving again. Win-Win for all.

3. Yea I posted that same thing.
If a 1% wants to hold a nation captive to be in power, then just take what they think gives them power.

Problem solved.

They feel they need power, I don't need any power, and am happy to post things that make me look bad or good, since it has nothing to do with me anyways.

However I am still owed, and will collect on that debt.

4. Why can't we build organizations like FDR did.
Maybe not all construction, and blue collar, we have a lot of industries that could use white collar. This government HAS TO INVEST to hell with the republicans. Let them know we mean business.

5. We SHOULD be taxing the hell out of corporations.
They are down to paying 7% of taxes paid in this country? That's crazy! There is no way in hell that corporations are only bringing in 7% of income, or anything even close.

If corporations want to be people, tax them like people, and make income taxes more progressive so that rich "people" pay their fair share without having access to all the special loopholes they are used to for avoiding paying their taxes.

Then, use all that tax income to hire inspectors for every fruit, vegetable, every piece of meat and every seafood, every toy, every article of clothing, every piece of furniture, every article of cosmetics, EVERY DAMNED THING that gets imported into this country!

Instead of letting the right wing be so damned paranoid about people crossing the border, whip them up about toxic shit crossing the border, and unsafe stuff crossing the border, illegal stuff crossing the border! Let's give them something legitimate to worry about if they can't survive without ranting and being paranoid!

And you are right, it would put a hell of a lot of people back to work, and it would prop up the economy too! :)

is going to change until we remove Wall Street/corporate lackeys from office.

Government should definitely be hiring and lending directly. We badly need infrastructure rebuilding.

Handing money to the banks thinking they'd invest in business on their own was a bad mistake. They make more money gambling and speculating with it.

On a side note they should tax those gains like anything else, not at 15%.
