Sarah Palin believes the Birther Lunatics have a point.

As insane as today's Republican Party has become, that may have just ended any chance for her in 2012. Which is a pity, because I so wanted a LBJ-esque landslide for Barack.

1. Here's the quote:
Said Palin: "I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue. I don't have a problem with that. I don't know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers... I think it's a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records -- all of that is fair game."

4. Good...keeps the issue alive for 2012
Make every Republican candidate tell the teaboobs they believe Obama is a U.S. citizen (or of not, place themselves in the pantheon of loons). It'll deflate more than a few voters on their side.

5. Absolutely.
At a GOP primary debate, a competent moderator like Lehrer or Shieffer should ask each GOP candidate whether they believe Obama is a US citizen, like "former VP candidate Sarah Palin" questioned. And then watch them squirm as they try to win their base but lose 99% of Dem vote, 60-70% of the Indy vote, and even some of the last few rational GOPpers (Dede Scozzafava, Chuck Hagel) in the general election.

17. I believe that's just her handlers posting half-assed damage control on Facebook
It's hard work making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I doubt if Sarah darling even knows her password.

8. That woman is dumber than a stick. Whoever thought she was at all qualified to
run for VP of the US was anti American.

Getting so even the Republicans can't stand her.

This is great, Sarah. Let's take a look at your association with the Alaska Independence Party and that church of yours. And how about your record as Governor, mercifully short that it was. Indeed. Let's have a look.

We all know that she'll accuse the libruls and media for making shit up and persecuting her.

14. She has to concur with the birthers to be able to win their 2012 primary. This only
helps her with the base of their party.
