The extraordinary hypocrisy of Joe Barton
The extraordinary thing about Rep. Joe Barton's comment is that he was opposed to Wall street Bailouts, but apparently thinks that it's the government's responsibility to pay for BP's mess. How can that possibly be reconciled in a sane mind?

2. Barton has taken big bucks from the Petroleum Mafia, domestic and foreign.

Someone needs to throw his lily-white rethuglican ass into a pool of the noxious crude and see how he likes it.

7. He opposed the Wall Street bailout because it was politically expedient.
How did he actually vote?

He made a political miscalculation on BP, probably taking his lead from the Tea Party/Libertarian stance of (as voiced by the major-league lunatic Rand Paul) "It's un-American to criticize a corporation."
