They were all poised to, once again, babble on about how Obama is irrelevant, etc. because the candidate he endorsed lost. But, oops. This time his candidate didn't lose.

I have no doubt that this minor glitch won't stop them from twisting this into a loss for Obama. Any idea how they're going to do it?

1. It will be tougher for them to continue their anti-incumbent spin but I am sure they will still try!

14. Is there polling on this?
I'm completely happy to vote for my 3 congressional reps, although only the House member is up for election. I suspect many people feel the same way about their representatives. Now, I'm quite upset and ready to vote out OTHER people's incumbents. But there's not much I can do about that....

she and Clinton did should not be a way to win a Democratic primary (and I say that with all knowledge that Halter was probably only marginally better).

3. Faux News bitch Megyn Kelly didn't wait, she did a whole piece today on how when Lincoln loses
tonight it would show Obama's endorsement is the kiss of death.

5. Maybe it will be pointed out they had to cheat to win it
Obama would have been smart to distance himself from that kind of stunt.

10. That doesn't explain why polling places in areas Halter was favored were closed
and the ones that were open, few and far between.

23. I would vote third party if I was down there.
Fortunately, from your POV, I do not vote in Arkansas.

I'm in PA, working hard for Sestak.

24. You said you hoped the Democrat loses
That would realistically only be to a Republican.

Sestak is not a flaming progressive, so why are you bothering? Why not work for the third party candidate?

25. Let me put it another way, then.
I have nothing but contempt for Blanche Lincoln.

She ran a sleazy, anti-union campaign, and "won" in a rather obviously compromised (and probably corrupt) run-off election

And though I recognize the desirability of "holding the seat," I just don't care in the end if she wins or loses.

Thank god I do not have to make that choice in Arkansas.

As for Sestak, he may be no flaming liberal, but this will be the first time in many a year that I will have an opportunity to vote for a Dem Senate candidate in PA that is actually PRO-CHOICE (the last two, Casey and Klink, were anti-choicers).

So that one is easy.

21. Every time we lose an election, we're going to claim "cheating?"
That's really going to be credible.

26. Did you follow the reports about closed polling places?
They were cut back massively in the Halter districts, but much less so in the Lincoln districts.

After complaints, a venue in Halter's main district was supposed to open the Saturday before, but it never opened because of a state law that was conveniently invoked only on the morning it was supposed to be open.

6. Obama ENDORSED Lincoln
Hard to see how they could spin a Lincoln "victory" against him, when you consider that piece of information.

9. You completely missed my point
Which was that they will indeed try to spin this against him - even though just a few hours ago, they were singing a completely different tune.

15. watching Morning Ho right now...
According to them..."Bill Clinton won for Blanche Lincoln. He won the special PA election. Who's Blanche going to have campaign for her, Barack Obama, or Bill Clinton? Clinton!" Also, Pat whined "Where were Obama's supporters last night? Big defeats for liberals and unions!" (Uh,anyone tell Pat that Obama supported Lincoln?) BTW, I wanted Lincoln to lose, but ya gotta love how predictable the media is.

I'm sure that had she lost, they would have lashed to President Obama so tight there would be neither light nor air between them. Now that she's won, it's "Obama who?"

19. I know and where are all the posts about the "message" sent to
progressives? I mean Obama got a message he's not left enough, didn't he just get a "message" that he's doing what the people want, and aren't the progressives getting the memo they aren't mainstream? Suddenly the rules change.
