The Oil Spill: What kind of political advice/arguments do you think Obama's advisors are having?
I can just imagine: 1) you should be front and center 2) no, you don't want that because then you will be associated with the issue and it will make you look bad. what i hate most is that i'm probably right. what i don't know is how he is reacting and how he is deciding what to do.

1. I hope they are talking about how they will use this as
a teachable moment. No more offshore rigs and a move to get off oil. And, to show that capitalism cannot function without serious regulation and oversight (which has been lacking for decades).

3. I don' think he's thinking as the leader of the country...
....unless he's thinking politically. If we had a proper, tame monarch, he or she could make the requisite speeches. We've only got the one guy, though.
