MA Republican is demanding that Martha Coakley join the HCR lawsuit
Jeffrey Perry seeks fight on federal health care reform

State Rep. Jeffrey Perry, a Republican candidate for 10th Congressional District, wants Massachusetts to join the legal fight against federal health care reform.

In a letter hand-delivered to Attorney General Martha Coakley's office Monday, Perry asked her to consider joining the 14 other attorneys general across the country who have signed on to a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the recently passed law. At issue is whether the federal government can require people to purchase private health insurance or face penalties.

"We're handing over the future of health care to the federal government," Perry said. "We'll keep the costs, but hand over the decisions to the federal government."

Perry said Coakley should protect the state's sovereignty. "We are severely tying our own hands to reform our own health care system," said Perry, one of two legislators to vote against the state's health care mandate in 2006.

I think she has done enough to water down the legislation already. Don't you?

1. She is not going to do so. And nobody watered it down. The bill that was voted was the
one signed by the Senate BEFORE Scott Brown was senator, with a few improvements.

So, if you want to blame somebody, blame your friends Nelson and Lincoln, not Coakley who has nothing to do with this.

3. The state of MA already requires people to buy private health insurance
so why would it be in the interests of the people of MA to join this lawsuit?

4. Not to defend the jerk, but your headline doesnst match the article
If he was demanding her to do it, he wouldnt "ask her to consider joining" the lawsuit

Dream on, douchenozzle!

Also, I'm interested to know how you think Martha Coakley watered down the health care bill as a Senate CANDIDATE. Go ahead, look it up. I'll wait.
