El Espectador saying Colombia's Constitutional Court vote today was six votes ruling accord unconstitutional, three votes opposed.

Not known yet whether ruling will take effect immediately.

Just announced. Details will come out later.

1. Semana reporting accord is null and void immediately

Cool photo from Semana

Constitutional Court says no to the military pact with the United States

Government will have to send issue to Colombian Congress to determine whether U.S. uniformed troops and civilian contractors will have access to seven bases in Colombia.

While Congress debates the accord, the pact will cease to have effect, contrary to what had been proposed -- that there would be a one-year period of grace while it was analyzed in Congress.

Earlier today Interior Minister Vargas Lleras said the government would respect the court's ruling.

Tums, Rolaids, Mylanta, Mayloxx, Pepto Bismal being handed out at the Pentagon.

2. Bogota newspaper El Heraldo saying vote was 7-2

----------------------

There is a news conference at the Constitutional Court at this moment.

Meantime, El Tiempo (uribista the past eight years) and Santos-owned newspaper reporting only that there has been a decision and quotes El Espectador, Semana and El Heraldo on the court ruling.
