Luckily they exchanged it. That's a whole other story....

7. I wish I could afford it!! Someone told me to go on their website and buy

a rebuilt one - that's what she did and she bought one for her mom - got them for $600 each.

No such luck! I should keep my eye opened on that site, my daughter has the same computer I had originally and hers is about 3 yrs old.
The clerk that helped my at Best Buy told me that the average laptop is only built to last 3 -4 years these days! Is that insane, or what?
Because of my ebay store, I use mine ALOT. I probably should be using a desk top.

Factory rebuilt is the way to go. I picked up a $500 Dyson vacuum for $200 over a year ago, and I love it.

8. My brother got a refurbished (I think that's the term) Mac desktop from the

Apple site - it's awesome! My MacBook was slowing down, slowly dying (I'd had it about 5 or 6 years) so I bought a used Powerbook off Craigslist (Jim guided me plus paid for a big chunk of it :7) I think it was like $400 - $450). So check out the Craigslist in your area, cheaper (and older) deals than Apple's site.

But if you can, I agree, factory re-done is the way to go! :7
