Biden is NOT a Gaffe Machine! I'm SO FUCKING TIRED of hearing that!
I've been in bed with the flu - the REAL flu - for about 4 days and I'm grumpy. I spent my birthday throwing up. x( and I come back and see some wonderful threads about Joe and even those who are trying to be supportive buy into that tag. :grr:

I'm going back to bed.

Other than that -- how is everyone? :hi:

1. He does say things he shouldn't - but hey - that's just who he is.
I don't know a politician that doesn't, but when Joe says things...it makes the front pages of the paper.

FEEL better!! Drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest

3. The MSM didn't tag the biggest gaffe-machine of all time,
G W Bush! That man really could butcher the English language and he usually got a pass. Then they treat Joe like he's another Dan Quayle!

7. "the word"????
There were so many. The one can comes to mind for me was "dissemble", which he butchered as I recall. Then he followed the word with the definition, very proud of himself because he'd learned a NEW WORD.

No wonder I can't remember what I'm trying to think of -- there were TOO DAMN MANY~!

Edit -- here's ONE of the ones I was thinking of. Just watched it again. I'm almost crying it's so painfully funny to watch

10. Ah yes
I remember that one. What a disaster he was. How on earth did we survive eight whole years?

4. Well, he says things he probably shouldn't POLITICALLY say,
but that's because he answers a question honestly and tells the truth -- which is a BIG reason why we love him so much. I don't think that there's really anything an elected official shouldn't say as long as it doesn't hurt someone, or give out the nuclear code or something.

I think they gave him that rep, then anything that anybody else may have said and would have gone unnoticed, because GAFFE ALERT when Joe says it. But you know that. :7

Thanks for the hug. I had no choice but to rest and drink plenty of fluids. I slept like the dead and every time I woke up I was dying for lots of cold water. Much better today, but not 100% back to normal. And damn! I wanted to go jogging! (I'm lying.)

2. Oh no, did we miss your birthday?
Friday was my daughter's and Saturday was my daughter-in-law's, so you're in really good company.

That's a sucky way to spend one's birthday!

Yes, I'm tired of hearing it too. It is flat out lazy reporting, when there are plenty of real stories to report. The MSM rarely reports on the many things that Joe is doing. The only reason they reported on his trip to the Mideast was because of the Israeli gaffe. Otherwise it would have been pretty much ignored.

5. Wow! You may have told me that about your daughter having
the same birthday, but I forgot. Happy Birthday to her and your DIL!

I actually didn't have big Party Plans, but was going to go out to dinner with a friend and her husband (who make me laugh a lot) but we can always do that another time. On Friday, I just didn't care. I wasn't sure how old I am 'til Jim told me -- 57.

Remember when Joe said 'being VP is easy'? and the press played that up? It was like they didn't have a clue to all he REALLY does! :eyes:

8. That is so cool
that you have the same birthday as my daughter! You're in really good company. No wonder I like you so much.

Gee whiz, Jim could have lied being you'd forgotten.

The media is more about personalities than it is about real reporting. Real journalism seems to be a thing of the past.
