SNL Biden sketch was horrible

It wasn't funny and didn't reflect anything resembling reality or our VP. The rest of the show was pretty lame too. There is so much material out there to work with on a weekly basis and SNL resorts to dumb fart jokes and weak political satire. Their writer's need to start watching the news or C-span. What a waste of time. I fast-forwarded through most of the show.

I don't understand this "Joe is a dumb" meme. Joe rarely speaks, and when he does, it is usually in a formal setting. His "gaffes" are usually just the "truth". SNL is not the only one. I love Conan and Daily Show and both of them also jumped on that bandwagon. I know...I know...comedy. But it's just...lazy.

Sometimes I think it's a lack of material. Cheney and Bush...well...those sketches pretty much wrote themselves. But Obama and Biden are not so easy.

3. But there is a LOT of material these days

if the writers were paying attention to the news. Each week has numerous far-out politicians making some kind of really stupid statements. I think you're right - they're just lazy, as well as uninspired.

2. Nov 7th SNL was phenomonal with their Fox satire...

and of course Taylor Swift - who I adore.

I agree that it was dumb - I saw it as more of an opportunity to poke fun of Obama thru Joe.

I too record it and fast-forward thru most of it...it's pretty lame...even Weekend update was bad.
