2. Initially CNN credited AP, now it's crediting "sources".
I'm thinking he really is dropping out but denying reports until he makes his official announcement tomorrow.

4. Okay, I get it
The only way for a lower-tiered candidate to get any media attention is to DROP OUT.

5. This will be interesting --
discussion about whether Obama will bring him on board to get the Latino vote, and that maybe Hillary cut a VP deal for the same reason.

I DO recall he said something that wasn't complimentary to HRC during a debate, and people here were going 'he can kiss that VP position goodbye".

Does anybody remember what it was?

6. I don't remember
but I think Hillary would embrace him, if it meant his votes going her way. Meanwhile, he'll go with the candidate that he thinks will make him the best offer.

9. Will someone please explain to me -
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 10:02 PM by pirhana
why did this news make me feel so sad?

I didn't think I'd care.

on edit - I think I feel sad that the entire 2nd tier is wiped out.

10. I was thinking that, too -- that "they" were right about the second tier not
having a chance...

It was either Rachel Maddow or Randi today who was explaining WHY the big money candidates got all the media coverage.

Because, those with the most money, could SPEND the most money BUYING advertising time! Duh! It never sunk in before.

And since Edwards is taking matching funds and it's rumored he's running out of money, he hasn't been getting the coverage he once did, either.

Remember -- it was the top three -- now it's down to two....

12. By "super-dooper pooper scooper Tuesday" there will be one remaining candidate in the primaries.
will it be Obama or Clinton? certainly the DLC or RLC have made their choice.

pathetic.

what a charade.

13. I'm sure it could happen, but right now with the media circus
that's going on, I can't imagine either Hillary or Obama dropping out in the next month or so, especially considering that Edwards vows to stay in it until the convention. This is what keeps us all anticipating...

14. I think Hillary's going to stay in until the end...
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 11:01 AM by 1corona4u
because I think she either thinks, or knows, that she will get the most delegates despite what states Obama 'wins'.

On edit, that's one of the reasons I am defending her. Because the media is trying to make her a casualty right now. it's my way, I guess, of rebelling.
