3. Oh...but that is true love
You can feel it. Good for the Bidens that they are so close, it's heartwarming in such a sad moment. God bless the Bidens.

7. I just saved that.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Look at his family behind them too.

9. Thanks - you know
I am looking at that pic, and to me it looks like Jill is pissed and that Joe is trying to console her.

I'm reading 'stuff' into that picture.

14. My take is that she was sad and Joe was comforting her and I read the
familys' expressions as "shocked" -- like we all were. Numb.

Actually, I'm not sure we know WHEN this pic was taken relating to the caucus results.

Did it say in the newspaper?

17. Here's the caption that was on the photo;
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 09:12 PM by 1corona4u
"No false sentiment here.

My respects to Biden and Chris Dodd.

(caption: Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., rests his head on the shoulder of his wife, Naomi as they stand in a hallway awaiting his introduction for a rally at the UAW Hall in Dubuque, Iowa, on the day of the Iowa caucus Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008.)"

16. What makes me think that she is pissed is because Joe is consoling her,
shouldn't it have been the other way around?

I think she didn't want Joe to quit, and he is explaining to her why he was.

The family is in the background waiting for a decision.

lol. That's what I see.

13. I think there have been overwhelming positive posts about Joe since Iowa -
I've been surprised and touched.

Except for the few who truly hate him, I think most people liked him a lot -- just liked their candidate better.

18. The amazing thing to me is
in the caption (I went to the link) they say wife Naomi. She was Joe's deceased wife. That is Dr. Jill Biden and Valerie Biden-Owens (sister and campaign manager) in the background. My opinion is they were at the stage where each of them was thinking "this is my fault" - a sort of rush to take responsibility and at the same time console the others. People who are strong sometimes do that to help others feel better. A tight-knit family will always make sure they assume the blame in a bad situation.

Anyway I said too much about this. Just the Naomi out of the blue - that is upsetting to me on a personal level.

19. Omg - that is awful! Poor Jill.
They are an amazing family. It is so rare to see a family that works as a team like that.
