Well I just put a card for my mailman

That was the last of our gifting. We are mostly sticking to money this year. We decided that in the current economy that's the best people can get.

Our list is very short anyway, and it includes both me and hubby's for our anniversary. We don't do either Chanukah (not really a tradition) or Christmas. Our anniversary is this month. So we take advantage of savings.

This year I was late, I am usually done by thankgiving. Now here is the truth about consumption and GNP. Yes it is 70% of the economy, but that number includes everything, from socks, to rent, to gas, to groceries. Gifting is about, depends who is doing the math...about 20% on good day, some say as low as 14%. and it is not the good kind since it increases our account deficit...

That's the serious note here.

Ah done...good, can go on with life.

Who'se family hid my dad's family during the holocaust. Every year we send her a check. I should look into sending her a card, gift card.
