Cant do a poll, but the reaction to the Chevy Volt (and GM in general) by the freepers/dittoheads/Fux fans is pretty disgusting. Personally I'd say yes if I had the money, and the new Buick Regal looks pretty damn amazing.

That will take the cake.

2. I'm looking at a Buick as well, but an old one...a 2000 Park Avenue
with all leather and real burled walnut interior...I think it's the one with the turbo in it...it has a bit over 70,000 miles on it and cost around $40,000 new. It is considerably less now.

I like GM cars, even more now that the RWers hate them.

3. Only if I could afford a Volt.
Otherwise, I like my old Ford, and will buy another if and when I can afford it.

4. That's not just *any* Buick Regal, either. That's the GS.
AWD, 260-something horsepower, and near-as-makes-no-difference 300 lbs/ft of torque. Me likey.

I'm addicted to my 6-speed, and I don't think I could ever go back.

24. I'm currently driving an automatic, out of necessity, not by choice
When I'm back in a position to get another car, it's going to have a real transmission!

32. Really? I guess Buick is finally getting it.
If they want to compete for the BMW, Audi, and VW drivers, they need to offer a manual transmission option. I love my VW Passat 6 speed. Great mileage, fun to drive. I'd consider this when I trade in a few years.

So I guess the dittoheads must all feel the same way without know why.

What a bunch of losers.

13. Check out the #1 thread on Greatest Page.
The rubes/morons are rushing to Limbaugh's defense of his takedown by Motor Trend on electric car technology. That, and the fact that the bailout of the US automotive industry is paying off to the taxpayer. Can't have Obama getting any credit for that.

8. Firing Bob Lutz helped.
I was hoping to buy another Saturn. I'm still disappointed since I thought it was the best thing GM had going for them.

I would like a GM when I can afford to buy another car. I hope they put out a hybrid or electric car that shows they get it. I don't have a family and I don't need a luxury car. I don't want to spend an extra $10,000 for a large car I don't need. So far, they still don't offer the car I'm looking for and it's a shame. Even Ford gets it by now.

34. wife has a 2000 LW2...
150k on it. Needs a new radiator- big deal, $100, easy fix. The 3.0L dual overhead cam V-6 kicks ASS in that car. I have to spend extra and buy Goodyear Assurance tires, because they are the only ones that won't spin out on acceleration when the road is wet.

10. I don't spend that kind of money unless I want to spend it on something I really want.
If GM has it, I'll buy it, but not because of a bunch of reactionary ijits.

At this point in time, if one can wait to purchase a car, it's probably best. Higher mileage cars should come in much more variety in the coming years.

16. Yeppers, I would buy a Volt
And I'm from a Ford family.

No money to do so right now, so my old 1995 Volvo will just have to do (and it just keeps on doing with leather, fair mileage for a 3900 lb. tank, er, car, and six speakers I have not managed to blow out YET). My son has the "new" family Focus to gad about in. Something wrong with this picture.
