The Perfect Republican Presidential Candidate.
They have to be popular with a certain segment of the country. It helps if they are a little dumb. They need to know how to take orders from those really in charge. They need to preach the goodness of the free market system and always sermonize about the benefits of taxcuts for the wealthy.

If he or she can do that, they can get their friends in the media to do the rest...

9. I didn' think of that one
wonder how that will play with the Christian Right. There is video footage of her in some sort of - minister hand on her forehead and irrc she falls backward a bit but, not down.

Good footage for her 'presidential run.' ;)

6. Must be covered in nasty, salacious scandals.
So they can scream about the "left wing blog hate" and the "vast leftwing conspiracy" against them everytime someone mentions their 37 solicitation arrests, four stays in rehab, six pregnant daughters or secret cancer treatment.

8. It's John Thune -
Tall, good looking, Gentleman's Quarterly type, WASP, no extreme positions, nothing in his closet.
Comes from a state adjourning Iowa so he will be known in the state holding the first primary.

The way I see it the Republican ticket will be Thune-Rubio and I think they will win.
