The Tea Party brews terrorists

Tea Party activist Mike Troxel of Lynchburg, VA, posted what he thought was Democratic Rep. Tom Perriello‘s home address on his blog after the Congressman voted for the health care reform bill.

Troxel got it wrong. The address was that of Perriello’s brother, not the Congressman. His actions resulted in vandalism of Bo Perriello’s home in Ivy, including a dangerous cut gas line from a propane tank along with an anonymous, threatening note.

Tea Party officials quickly distanced themselves from Troxel, the Lynchburg Chapter’s Media Chairman, claiming the actions were his own and not sanctioned by the party. The incident is just one example of terrorism by the self-proclaimed, “grassroots” operation that grew out of money from front organizations for major oil and banking institutions.

Do we need more proof?

Joseph Stack had barely finished flying his airplane into a building that housed an IRS office when the battle over his legacy began.

People on the left wondered why the media wasn't calling him a terrorist. If this had been done by a Muslim, right wingers would be demanding that anyone who refused to label the attack as terrorism be brought up on treason charges.

Even now, various Tea Party bloggers endorse violence against President Obama. These people are the nuttiest of wing-nuts. Their words and actions constitute domestic terrorism.

Still, Tea Party organizations are media darlings, maintaining good press overall.

A surprisingly large number of Christians think events in the Mid-East are clear signs of prophesy being fulfilled. That makes them easy marks for people like McVeigh.

I know people who believe in the rapture and all that (born-again evangelical types). To their way of thinking, we don't need to worry about the environment or war or peace or anything else. it's all pre-ordained.

What about the well-armed group in Waco, where the ATF overstepped the Constitution. That particular group of Branch Davidians had a different view of end of times than mainstream Christians. They believed David Koresh was the sects' final prophet.

use fear and terror to push their agendas, which in my eyes makes them terrorists.
