275 Investors Demand U.S. Chamber of Commerce Reveal Funding Sources
http://www.casavaria.com/cafesentido/2010/10/31/6844/275-investors-demand-u-s-chamber-of-commerce-reveal-funding-sources/

31 October 2010 :: J.E. Robertson

Amid allegations the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is using membership dues and donations from foreign firms to wage an all-out ad-war against Democratic politics, at least 275 members are demanding the group cease its “punitive campaign” against anyone who supported the Affordable Care Act and reveal their sources and methods of funding the ads.

The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) has lodged its second complaint in two years against the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for what it sees as overtly partisan attack ads and possible misuse of members’ donations. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has refused to reveal what sources of funding are being tapped to fund its political attack-ad campaign.

3. In the last ten years, the far right wing has infiltrated and
taken over the Chamber of Commerce. As far as I'm concerned the brand has no value. When possible, I will let local Chamber members know.

4. Progressive and Moderate business people need to set up their own organization.
Edited on Sat Nov-13-10 09:55 AM by bluestate10
If such business people leave the chamber of commerce for membership in an organization that reflects their values, the chamber will become a non entity. The 275 investors would spend their time more effectively if they setup and promoted an alternative organization for businesses and manufacturers.

6. I disagree
Those entities leaving the USCC would be a pretty significant statement and would be great, but the USCC is ran and funded by multinats. It would continue with business as usual representing corporations with little interest in US workers. It might make it harder for the USCC to skirt questions considering funding though.

10. Buying USA.
I spend time buying clothing and any other product that I can buy that is made in the USA by continental US based workers. There are companies out there that are fighting the tide of off shoring american jobs. There are companies and entire new industries out there that do not want anything to do with the USCoC. My question to you is concerning whether you will make choices that make fighting companies stronger, or will you continue the "evil Big Business, they're too big to fight, pity me" mentality that got us to where we are? Every fight has a starting point. Will you do something, small or large, to fight or will you just be another person that types into a blog to whine, but does nothing real to bring about change?

5. Typical C of C Republicon occultism
Republicons are into occultism, because the truth of what they are up to is so ugly that not even their brain-addled Fox New watchers could bear it if they really knew how the Republicons are letting foreign MoneyBuck FatCat Entities pervert the American political process.
