GOPer Bachus: Palin Cost Us the Senate
Shhhhh… be vewwy vewwy quiet. Spencer Bachus is hunting Momma Gwizzlies:

"Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) cost the GOP control of the Senate, a powerful House Republican said.

Rep. Spencer Bachus (Ala.) said that Tea Party-backed candidates endorsed by Palin underperformed against their Democratic rivals, costing the GOP key pickup opportunities.

“The Senate would be Republican today except for states like Christine O’Donnell in Delaware,” Bachus said at a local Chamber of Commerce event last week, the Shelby County Reporter wrote Sunday. “Sarah Palin cost us control of the Senate."

To be fair, O’Donnell couldn’t have won a High School SGA election if she were endorsed by Justin Bieber, but Bachus has a point. The internal GOP battle between ideology and electability continues.

3. He's absolutely right
He's going to catch shit for it, but he's 100% correct - Sarah Palin cost the Republcians the Senate. Tarkanian beats Reid in Nevada if he's the nominee, Castle cruises in Delaware if he doesn't lose to O'Donnell, and Norton in Colorado almost definitely would have outperformed Ken Buck. We just need to sit back and let them eat each other for the next two years.
