If in 2008 we had a new hope, and in 2010 the Empire struck back, then I think it means by 2012

we'll see the return of the Jedi but we'll also be knee-deep in singing, dancing Ewoks.

My friend posted that on Facebook today and gave me a MUCH needed smile on this dark, sad day in Wisconsin.

1. We have had an acceleration of this
until 1994 we held the house for forty plus years.

It took until 2006....

Now it took 2010

I think she's right.

People are angry...

and forget bout holding a house for a generation or more.

this instability is a symptom of the crisis.

2. A House that switches direction every 2 years
is like a fibrillating heart: a lot of frenetic activity, but nothing gets moved through.

4. Like the... house of the Gilded age
exactly.

Also before the Civil war btw

We are in a deep crisis... and during crisis institutions lose stability.

6. Yep, but it is deeper than that
we are at the end of Empire... we are in a deep crisis. These are the times that tests systems. And so far the defects in the constitution are coming out.

Think of this for a second, spending limit needs to go up. Senator Rand Paul has the power to stop that... and nothing to prevent it (well unless Reid, or whoever becomes leader) heavily curtals the filibuster first day... they should, they hinted at it... until they do... well Rand could, all on his lonesome, do a lot of damage... and nothing in the hallowed book to prevent it.

Just part of the crisis.

7. Why does everyone hate the Ewoks?
Who is Darth Vader? The one who is currently evil but will soon see the error of his ways and kill the emperor?

10. I love ewoks! They're cute and cuddly.
I haven't worked through the intricacies of the analogy though. ;)

9. Please do.
It made me smile on a day that's been rather rough. My intention of posting here was to do the same for others.

Spread the smiles. :)
