The California Democrat, who won a new two year term in Tuesday's election, also said she has yet to consider what she will do now.

"I'll have a conversation with my caucus, I'll have a conversation with my family, and pray over it, and decide how to go forward," she said in an exclusive ABC News interview with "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer. "But today isn't that day."

1. Well, she probably won't be speaker again, and once that is over,
most former-speakers retire..Nancy won't live forever, and she's got grandkids in CA who would probably treasure some extra time with her..

She'll go out gracefully, and hopefully some young Californian in her district will get to start their own legislative career..

Every so often we lose a LOT of people in one cycle, but it's also because once in, they never want to stop running, and sooner or later we end up with a crop of "older" congresspeople/senators..Voters "clean house" and "retire" older ones every now and then..

Of course I prefer term limits, so I don't mind a bit when they retire.

2. What's to think about? She was elected as a congresswoman
She may not be speaker anymore but she has a full plate just being her district's representative in Congress. That ought to be enough for anybody to deal with. Plus the Dem caucus will probably nominate her as minority leader.
