The DC Rally was HUGE. The entire mall and the side roads were packed.

It felt great to meet so many normal people out there, all friendly with each other and not part of any fringe.

It was like a giant party, smiles all over. Stewart and Colbert were amazing. Stewart's moving closing remark was at the level of what a great president would tell his people.


The crowd was INSANELY huge and densely packed. The P&R lot for the commuter train had a 1/2 mile long line to the platform...!

Separation of head from ass....oh do I love that one. I bet there were a lot of good ones. Wish I could have been there. If I still lived outside DC I would have gone. I hate crowds but I would have loved loved loved to be part of that one.

with repukes, they use American flags like confetti - totally overdone. But a beautiful flag, waving in the breeze - nice. I also like the HANNITY VS SANITY sign :D

... right after the Rally, Chi-town was a beehive of people forming looooong lines in front of every food place - we walked for quite a while hoping to find something less crowded some blocks away, but forget it - crowds of people *everywhere*.

That's funny that I caught your mom on the photos - what are the odds in a crowd that size?

46. i just now got home from DC

to raleigh nc. it was amazing. even though my son wouldn't brave the crowd enough for us to get close enough to hear - the crowd was indeed humongous. it really made me feel good.
i'll have pictures tomorrow. just now i am ready to collapse.
