But I'm no writer, or pundit. I have no great intellectual gifts or insights to share with you. I am just a plain old workaday nurse who has found a pretty nice place to visit. A place where everyone pretty much feels the same way I do. We are (for the most part) progressive Democrats who share a vision of an America that works for ALL, not just for the rich and powerful.
If you are like me, you hang on to every bit of news that comes across the wire. You scan your daily places like Huffington post, TPM, Americablog, Crooks and Liars, Alternet and my personal favorite, Rawstory among the many progressive, lefty type places. (Forgive me if I have left out your favorite. Please post yours.)
If you are like me you listen to Tweety's rantings and find it amusing to see the little bits of foam that form at the corners of his mouth when he's on a good tear. If you are like me you can't wait for Matthews' show to be over so you can watch your real favorites: Keith and Rachel. Yeh, we're not really on a first name basis, but you know who I mean. And if you are like me you tune in to Lawrence's show, wishing he were more like Rachel and Keith. Sigh.
So this is my thousandth post and I just wanted to make it my own and say thanks to this forum. Thanks to the moderators who started this place where Dems like me can come and meet up with so many people who share a similar vision for America. (and the world) Thanks to the other plain old workaday people like me. Thanks to those who post things that we need to read. Thanks for sharing pictures and videos that make my life more entertained and informed.
Keep up the great work and DON'T FORGET TO FUCKING VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
