Russ Feingold needs our help

New polling indicates Feingold is barely trailing the Republican candidate:

Wisconsin Senate - Feingold vs. Johnson Reuters/Ipsos Johnson 51, Feingold 44 Johnson +7
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/docs/2010/Reuters_Ipsos_WI_1012.pdf

Wisconsin Senate - Feingold vs. Johnson Rasmussen Reports Johnson 52, Feingold 45 Johnson +7

So what are you willing to do for the only Senator who voted against the Patriot act, sends his raises back to the Treasury, and author of campaign finance reform? You can sign up for updates from his campaign, contribute, volunteer and more here:

1. We're going to do this.
http://blog.russfeingold.org/?p=933

Johnson’s unfavorable rating has increased (by nearly 10 points over the past ten days) while at the same time his favorable rating has dropped – to a level four points lower than Russ Feingold’s in this latest tracking poll.

...

We are well positioned heading into the homestretch, with a strong and energized grassroots campaign operation that has been built with your hard work and support.

The election is in your hands, and over the next 21 days we need your help now more than ever.

Our opponents have been dancing in the end zone before the game is over, but with your continued support we will put an end to that on Election Day.

6. Yikes! Nate Silver gives Feingold only 11.3% chance of winning.

I kicked in a bit more $$$ to Russ.
We need him.

7. Barely trailing? So if Feingold loses 51-44 or 52-45 that means he barely lost?
I live in western Wisconsin and I have not seen a Feingold ad for days, but I see Johnson ads every day.

In the end I believe that the race will be closer than the polls indicate now as in the end voters come out in favor of Feingold. Dont discount his visiting all areas of the state for nearly 18 years and meeting and listening to many of the citizens of Wisconsin.

9. I know it doesn't feel fair to the rest of the state, but Milwaukee and Madison win elections.

The ads are fast and furious here.

10. In his past election I saw lots of Feingold ads here in La Crosse.
I'm seeing lots of ads for the governor's race though.

11. I don't know why that would be.
I know Barrett's campaign is definitely focusing very hard on the rest of the state. And here we see very few Barrett ads. He has Milwaukee County in the bag. :) Waukesha... well, that will NEVER go blue.

22. Urban areas are key to Dem victories but they can't ignore rural areas
Edited on Wed Oct-13-10 12:53 AM by pstokely
They need to a pick just enough of the rural vote away from the Repuke, they don't need to be run a DINO or Tea-Lite campaign to get some rural votes

24. Feingold doesn't "ignore" the rural areas.
There's a huge difference between running massive amounts of ads and "ignoring".

15. Sent some $ plus ye olde yard sign here in Wis
He clobbered Johnson in the debates so far -- but who saw them?

Johnson has good though misleading ads funded by outside and perhaps even overseas money.

I fear for Russ and any shreds of our historic Wisconsin Progressive Tradition that remain.

I used ActBlue to donate - please do the same or via another site of your choosing.

17. What a shame a good and honest Senator like Feingold finds himself struggling to win an election.
How ignorant can voters be? I will certainly do what I can to help him.

the money being shoveled at him!
