5. I still like to go out and buy "records"
When of course I mean to say I downloaded songs from I-Tunes. Of course, I do still buy some vinyl. ;-)

The topic is pretty horrible, regardless of how fucked Faux is in their descriptions.

Plus, there may be legal definitions at work, too, that haven't caught up with the times.

27. Hell
I still get some PSAs in the mail that are on 1" U-Matic. We took the last 1" deck out about 3-4 years ago but they keep sending them anyway. So that tells me they are still in use. The U-matic format stretches all the way back to around 1970 or so iirc.

17. Somehow, that distinction doesn't seem to be at the core
of this horrible story, now, does it? Taped? Recorded? Caught? Whatever. It. Does. Not. Matter. What matters is what happened.

Besides, my digital video camera still uses tape. Many do.

28. Because "taped" is shorter than "recorded" and space matters
in newsprint - especially in the headlines. Precision in using the language should matter, too, but it won't always trump the space issue.
