caller just posed the idea that gonzo could resign during memorial congressional break and bush replaces him without congress' approval.

1. I wouldn't be surprised if Bush used a recess appointment again.
I would hope there would be a huge uproar if he did.

Perhaps Congress should just not recess? How many would have to stay to keep Congress open? Given *'s history, I think it would be wise to not recess until he's out of office.

I guess they'd have to have a quorum to avoid calling a recess?

3. There's no law that says that Congress has to Adjourn
There just wouldn't be any roll-calls during agreed-upon "home district visitation" periods, or whatever they want to call it.
