Some good news for a change
Our local repukes didn't bother to show up to vote in the Aug 3 primary. Here's a LTTE from today's paper:

Tea party flop at polls

I thought the conservatives were angry. We’ve seen all the protests, the media coverage, the tea party rallies and the predictions of revolution.

It fizzled spectacularly. The puny and scant Republican Election Day primary voter turnout proved there is no outraged constituency.

It has all been just a load of hot air.

Over the last two years, we’ve been inundated with phony protests, manufactured patriotism and ginned-up outrage.

The tea party crowds claimed that America was sinking into a chasm of socialism, fascism and every other “ism” one can imagine. Obviously, the tsunami of rebellion that was supposed to “take our country back” was just a world-class bluff.

I guess Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck forgot to tell their herds of sheep to go to the polls.

You don’t change a democracy by broadcasting puffed up criticism. You change it at the ballot box.

Reggie Marselus

3. Thank you so much for this. I did truly need it.
I don't know if conservatives are nearly as angry as they are embarrassed.

4. They are already burned out.
By election day it will be mostly the standard crowd (libs, conservatives and indies).
