DENVER -- A Denver inmate's jail death was a homicide caused by the weight of five deputies pinning him face down on the floor while applying a choke hold and shocking him with a Taser, the Denver medical examiner ruled Friday.

The July 9 death of 56-year-old Marvin Booker, a homeless preacher, has outraged his family members. They continue to demand that authorities release security videos of the jail clash that began when the inmate tried to retrieve shoes he'd removed while awaiting hours to be processed on a drug paraphernalia arrest.

The medical examiner ruled Booker died from a heart attack and respiratory arrest while being restrained, in part by the weight of the deputies atop his prone body.
