It looks like Republicans may have tried to be sensitive about the feelings of the country and the people of Oklahoma. Their GOP State Headquarters is 2.8 miles from where the Murrah building, site of the worst domestic terrorism incident committed in the United States, used to stand. Republicans could have chosen to put their headquarters closer to the site, but they didn't. We should thank them for that. Maybe GOP headquarters has always been there, in which case we should thank Republicans for not moving their headquarters any closer.

Yes, Timothy McVeigh was a Republican and a traitor, and, yes, most Republicans want nothing to do with Timothy McVeigh. But the sensitivities are still there. The American People remember who Timothy McVeigh was, what his aims were, and we recall the inflammatory and ultimately violence-inciting political rhetoric that spawned his terrorist plot. We also know, though, that the vast majority of Republicans were not responsible for inciting McVeigh to his crimes and should not be blamed for them.

If the Republicans want to move their headquarters closer to the memorial that is now on the Murrah building site, it is their right to do so, and I would not begrudge them that nor hold it against them if they chose to do that. It is a free country, and we don't blame every Republican for the act one Republican.

so I can REALLY check it out.

I don't want to form an opinion without knowing all the facts.
