"GZ Mosque" replays a familiar and cynical tune
It seems that whenever the exercise of some protected freedom stands to outrage a lot of people, Republicans exploit the opportunity to gain in popularity by taking the side of the outraged, leaving Democrats looking "Unamerican" in some way while trying to defend a principle.
Haven't we seen this played out in the past? Before the so-called "GZ Mosque", the same thing happened over flag-burning.
Are there other examples?

1. Every RW talking point is a cynical attempt to capitalize on the fears of the ignorant.
Every. Single. One.
