3. Yeah, tomorrow morning. Leatherface wants to be sure she gets face in front of the
camera as long as possible. SCOTUS will have final word. What do you think they will rule? They like the unitary executive and federal power. Pugs could be ruled against by they own creeps.

11. Welp, there was someone just recently, a comedian, a band or someone I am sorry won't be coming
here. Can't think of who it was, but I remember thinking crap. Leatherface's face got uglier at that moment anyway.

8. Grijalva says so
I say no...

But exercise some discrimination. Analyze who owns it and where it is.

Boycott the republican owned Arizona Diamondbacks but patronize the Anti-SB1070 Phoenix Suns...

Stuff like that...

Boycott Maricopa County -- boycott Cochise County -- Come to Pima County...

Come to Tucson -- we're reasonably sane here with a Sheriff who would not have enforced this fascist POS anyway...

9. I haven't been to Tucson since 1990 or so when we went to Spring training.
I bet it's huge now. My boys dragged me to that old west theme park, "Old Tucson". They loved it.

17. It's huge
100 square miles...1 million people

But it still has a small town feel -- especially "downtown" where I live...

10. Like a judge declaring parts of the law void means the Arizona Congress...
governor, and Sheriff Joe Arpaio are suddenly multiculturalist heros.

It ain't over until the Supreme Court Sings.

13. Didn't we know that before we wasted the money already spent?
Edited on Thu Jul-29-10 12:39 AM by lonestarnot
Why didn't somebody already file something to get there already? My contention was that was the original intention of the creation of such a bullshit law in the first place, all so this could get to Judge Grimace who sits on SCOTUS.

14. Lower courts get the first chop at the law.
It will work its way up through the appellate courts.

To me, the Constitution is pretty clear, and only a totally partisan Supreme Court would try to overthrow this decision.

Oh shit....

18. Direct Appeal to SCOTUS 2-4.212
Edited on Thu Jul-29-10 12:47 AM by lonestarnot
From time to time Congress provides for direct Supreme Court review of district court judgments in a particular kind of case. See, e.g., 47 U.S.C. § 555(c)(2) (Cable Act); 2 U.S.C. § 692(b) (Line Item Veto Act). If the United States Attorney is working on a case in which direct appeal to the Supreme Court is provided for by statute, the United States Attorney should consult closely with the appropriate division as to how to proceed after judgment is entered by the district court.
