Hard to believe it's been twenty years since this splendid day!

One of the landmark civil rights laws in recent US history turns twenty! On Monday, the 26th of July, The American's with Disabilities Act, signed 20 years ago by then President GHW Bush, is being celebrated at events around the country.

The opening blessing - possibly a first at a presidential signing- is by Rev Harold Wilke. He later in the video accepts a signing pen from Bush with his foot...

2. Is IS ironic... Similar legislation slogged thru congress, slowed often by that side of the aisle
but the ADA gets to the finish line and is signed by a Republican president...

Still, there is much progress to make, but yes, it was a good new set of laws.
