I don't know if anyone saw it earlier so I'm reposting. Poetry hurts.
So, I need my friends to share the pain.

with apologies to William Blake for the beginning

Razor

Razor, razor gleaming bright
The edge I walk by day and night.
Monster or man, who wins the fight?
When beasts and angels wrestle.

Beast always lying in wait, hiding, creeping.
To pounce while prey is sleeping.
Can a heart of good be turned to ill?
From compassion and life, could it even learn to kill?

The edge is always there,
Precarious the walk
Balance with care
Strong winds can push you too far
Humanity fragile. Sanity scarred.

Angels try to keep us straight and true.
Don’t lose your step, far the fall may be.
To lunatic purity or decadent ecstasy
With the proper wings you can rise above.
But the razor has cut and still draws blood.

And sometimes we need to bleed.
To remind us we are human and that we need.
S

4. Ok then,
originally I was going to write "I hate shaving too",
but I didn't want to be insensitive.

5. It's ambigous
I need to shave so maybe the knowledge of that subconciously influenced the poem. Or it could be the Klonopin I'm on. Or it could be a whole lot of other shit I can't talk about unless you're a shrink or a literary agent. lol. B-)

3. That's one great poem in my opinion
Boy, its so true and it teaches forgiveness as well.
I have said many times, theres no excuse for being human, we just have to live with it. Peace
