The way I understood it was many of the current unemployed are past the ninety nine th week and unemployment extensions do not go beyond ninety nine weeks no matter what. The new extension in the works would not give benefits to those already past ninety nine weeks of unemployment..Also I heard that almost half of the current unemployed are either beyond that time frame or very near it and we have Never seen this since the great Depression. Almost 7.5 million people beyond the limit of benefits.
