I thought the stimulus package was around $789 billion.
I read a column today that said it was 1 trillion. What's with that? I haven't been keeping up with real figures but plan to dissect them.

3. You're right.
ARRA (America Relief and Recovery Act) was just under $800 billion, and a third of that was tax cuts.

4. The Republican argument is that after interest it will cost $1 trillion.
Not saying they are right, just pointing out why some are using that number.
