I just started with kidney disease, but what if liver disease could also be connected?
Kidneys & livers are ALL ABOUT filtering toxins.. What if this melamine stuff has been in or gradually added to ALL foods with "additives"...
Perhaps someone "goofed" and put too much in the petfood and when a lot of pets started dying suddenly (smaller bodies..more acute risk), their dirty little secret was outed.
Look at your cupboards/freezers..check the ingredients of all the "convenience foods".. Is there melamine in some of those "aplhabet ingredients or even the basic ingredients?.. Are you sure?
How many years of bombardment by melamine does it take for a liver or kidney to fail?
I would be willing to bet that if kidney/liver biopsies were doone of the patients with diseases of those organs...melamine would show up.. wanna bet they never start testing for it?

Chronic Kidney Disease On the Rise
A new report by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the United States has increased significantly. Using information collected from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 1999-2004, it is estimated that 16.8% of the U.S. population aged 20 years or older has CKD. This compares to 14.5% using NHANES data collected from 1988 to 1994. This means that the number of people with kidney disease increased by 16% in less than a decade. This confirms that the kidney disease epidemic continues to rage out of control.
The NHANES is a survey conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). It involves blood testing for serum creatinine, urine testing for protein, and both face-to-face interviews and medical examinations. Data is collected continuously but are released every 2-years. The latest report used data collected from the 1999-200, 2001-2002 and 2003-2004 periods
