Edited on Sun Jun-27-10 04:24 PM by Robert DAH Bruce
1. Finance
2. Energy (Oil/Coal/Fossil Fuels)
3. Israel
4. Gun
5. Agriculture (Read: Monsanto)

For now, I have taken Big Pharma and the insurance companies off the list: We'll just have to see how HCR plays out.

8. AIPAC has a very negative impact on our foreign policy
But there are other people in the pro-Israel lobby: AEI, Christian Zionists, etc.

9. I would say Israel is related to oil. If there was only sand in the middle east
Israel would not exist by now.

10. I don't think the gun lobby is as big of a deal as you make it out to be.
Being pro gun or anti gun is very important to a lot of people but it is an emotional issue, not an issue that is directly affecting the direction of the country which all the other 4 choices do. The others have an effect on everyone, the gun lobbies only affect a certain portion of all people and if all gun laws were to swing one way or the other, it won't affect the United States as a whole other than to make some people feel good and others to get really pissed off.

13. Prison Lobbies.
We've got an absurdly high amount of our citizens in jail or prison, an awful lot of whom were committing "crimes" that weren't hurting anyone but themselves, if that. There's a reason for it.
