"Support"
How do we "support" things politic?

What does it mean when we say "I support Congressman Bloviatorum's new jobs bill," particularly when Bloviatorium is also sponsoring a bill to end Social Security and Mother's Day?

What does it mean to say "I support Senator Foghorn" when you completely disagree with him on anything and everything to do with, let's say, things military?

How do you go about supporting a politician's ideas when you see the person as pond scum?

How can you support a politician with whom you have significant differences?

2. By helping enable them to do good and prevent them from doing ill.
Much like I work to prevent Obama from "reforming" social security.

3. That's what I'm getting at, too. How do you "work to prevent him from reforming SS"?

4. LTE's. Conversations. Advocacy.
Essentially, I think it's important to remain politically active even between elections.

Public pressure prevented GW from giving Social Security to Wall Street. We can do it again.
