MSNBC: There's a "media blackout" in Afghanistan, with troops told not to talk to reporters
about McChrystal. No other details on this.

1. Typical. Guy at top screws up, people under their command pay with new rules
Happens in a lot of departments with questionable behavior at the top.

2. Or what? They get shot?
We are paying dearly for that mess of a war with the lives of our troops and treasury.

What is going on in our name? Who are we as a country?

Not that it will make a difference, but I'm going to write to my reps about this. If they have so much to hide, then maybe I should not be taxed for their secret little war.

4. Is there ever a time when troops are supposed to badmouth their commanding officer to the press?
They would have to be complete morons disobeying standard guidelines to do something like that. They'd have to be like McChrystal.
