My nomination for quote of the day: Is Sarah Palin a feminist?
The quote is by Lindsay Beyerstein:

Arguing about whether Sarah Palin is a feminist is like arguing about whether a framed pile of cat puke is art. It's a pointless semantic dispute. Why not save time and concede the premise? Okay, it's art, but it's the worst art I've ever seen.

1. Sarah Palin reminds me a lot of a kind of woman
I used to deal with back when my kids were in school and I was in the PTA. There's a particular sub-set of self-important women who try very hard to run the PTA, although they're not always very successful at it. They'll get themselves put in charge of some major project which they're really not capable of running, but usually a couple of subordinates wind up doing all the work. They, of course, take all the credit if things go well. If things don't go well, they totally blame the subordinates.

These are very toxic people, and I figured them out pretty early on and simply avoided getting connected to any of their projects.

It's the air of self-importance that's so characteristic of them.

2. That's laughable
She's exactly the opposite. She represents the old negative way of thinking that was left behind ages ago, that not feminist.

3. Mine
"BP cares about small people"

Palin only wishes she could say that and get away with doing so.
